Cathedral Quilt Pattern
Cathedral uses a raw edge applique technique where the edges are stitched and quilting happens in one step. Templates are included to make the pieces to be appliqued. For inspiration on fabrics to use, go to the Alison Glass website.
The finished size in the picture is 54 x 54”, however it can also be made up as a mini quilt, sized 18″ x 18″.
Included are detailed instructions, colour illustrations and templates.
The pictured quilt requires 20 different 4 x 12″ fabrics in a spectrum of colours, around 0.75cm of charcoal coloured fabric for the panel, 2.75m of background fabric and around 2m of Pellon 805 (Wonder-Under) or similar other brands in 20″ width.
Other required equipment: sewing machine with adjustable stitch length, rotary cutter, cutting mat, rulers and thread.
